EOR Specialist

JOB SUMMARY  
A specialist engineering and technical services provider supporting the energy sector, with a strong focus on upstream oil and gas operations. The company delivers advanced subsurface and production solutions, partnering with operators to maximize reservoir recovery and optimize field performance. They are recognized for technical depth, collaborative delivery model, and commitment to data-driven decision-making across complex assets. 

The EOR Specialist is responsible for designing, evaluating, and implementing enhanced oil 
recovery (EOR) strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery from existing assets. This role 
bridges laboratory research and field application, ensuring effective translation of EOR concepts 
into operational success. Working closely with reservoir engineers, laboratory teams, and field 
operations, the specialist plays a key role in pilot design, performance evaluation, and 
optimization. The position requires strong technical expertise across multiple EOR methods and 
a practical understanding of reservoir behavior. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
• Design and evaluate EOR strategies, including chemical, thermal, and gas injection methods 
• Conduct feasibility studies and screening of EOR techniques for various reservoir conditions 
• Support laboratory studies and ensure effective translation of results to field applications 
• Develop and manage EOR pilot projects, including design, execution, and monitoring 
• Analyze production data and evaluate EOR performance to optimize recovery strategies 
• Collaborate with reservoir, production, and laboratory teams to integrate EOR solutions 
• Provide technical recommendations and support field implementation activities 
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders 

QUALIFICATIONS  
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or Chemical Engineering 
• 8–10 years of experience in EOR research, development, and field application 
• Strong background in upstream oil and gas operations 

EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS 

Essential 
• Deep knowledge of chemical, thermal, and gas EOR processes 
• Experience in lab-to-field translation of EOR studies 
• Proven experience in EOR pilot design and execution 
• Strong understanding of reservoir engineering and fluid flow mechanisms 
• Ability to analyze production data and evaluate EOR performance 
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary technical teams 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

Preferred 
• Experience with Middle East or carbonate reservoirs 
• Familiarity with compositional reservoir simulation tools 
• Exposure to digital optimization and data analytics in EOR 
• Experience working in consulting or technical advisory roles
