WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Lead, Commercial & Capital Structure opportunity for our client, an energy company in the UAE.
Purpose
To support the execution of commercial and financial analysis, capital structuring activities and investment cases for the business unit, by reviewing the financial modelling, transaction project and finance documents and preparing the relevant business cases documentations.
The role contributes to the delivery of due diligence, financing activities and commercial evaluation, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support portfolio growth and optimization, under the guidance of senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Lead investment analysis and financial modelling for new investments, including greenfield/brownfield projects, acquisitions and divestments, assessing value creation potential, commercial viability, risk exposure and strategic fit.
Conduct detailed financial, commercial and scenario-based analysis to evaluate investment performance, capital structures, financing strategies, refinancing opportunities and downside risk cases to support informed decision-making.
Support transaction execution activities including financial due diligence, valuation analysis, financing reviews, negotiation support and coordination of multi-party processes across advisors, lenders and internal stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, legal, technical, ESG and asset management functions to ensure alignment of assumptions, robust business case evaluation and comprehensive risk assessment.
Prepare investment memoranda, financial presentations and strategic reports for senior management, while engaging with external stakeholders including lenders, investors, consultants and offtakers to support transaction and financing activities.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Finance or equivalent
6 years of relevant working experience in consulting, banking or within utility / energy / investment entities
Strong analytical, financial, and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
