JOB SUMMARY
The Research Engineer – Communication Expert is responsible for transforming complex technical data and research outputs into clear, compelling, and professional presentations for business and technical audiences.
This role bridges the gap between engineering teams and stakeholders by converting detailed analyses, datasets, and research findings into structured narratives, visual insights, and decision ready materials.
Working closely with engineers, scientists, and leadership teams, the position ensures that technical insights are communicated effectively through high-quality presentations, reports, and visual storytelling.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop structured, high-quality PowerPoint presentations for internal and client-facing use
• Translate complex technical data into clear, concise, and visually engaging slides
• Create charts, graphs, and visual summaries to support data-driven storytelling
• Collaborate with engineering and research teams to understand technical content and key insights
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and professional formatting across all presentation materials
• Interpret data and identify key messages to highlight for stakeholders
• Support proposal development, technical reports, and executive summaries
• Organize and structure large volumes of information into digestible formats
• Continuously improve presentation standards, templates, and communication workflows practices
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Relevant experience in presentation development and data visualization may be considered in lieu of formal degree roles
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
Essential
• Strong experience developing professional PowerPoint presentations for business or technical audiences
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (or similar tools) for data handling and visualization
• Ability to transform complex information into clear, structured, and engaging content
• Experience creating charts, graphs, and visual storytelling elements
• Strong attention to detail, structure, and presentation quality
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work under tight timelines
Preferred
• Background in data analytics, business analysis, or technical communications
• Experience supporting engineering, research, or scientific teams
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
• Experience preparing client-facing materials or executive-level presentations
• Exposure to oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors
