Development Geologist

WeConnect Energy is currently recruiting for a Senior level Development Geologist opportunity for our client, an energy company in the UAE. 

The role supports the team from both Asset Management and Business Development/Mergers and Acquisitions perspectives.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reservoir Characterization: Lead and contribute to reservoir studies to enhance geological models, coordinating coring, logging, and testing activities.

• Geological Modelling: Build detailed 3D geological models using structural, seismic, and petrophysical data to support reservoir simulation and well planning.

• Data Interpretation: Analyse geological data to generate maps, cross-sections, and 3D models for evaluating discovered resources.

• Production Management: Monitor and manage production performance, ensure efficient reservoir management, and identify future data acquisition needs.

• Uncertainty Analysis: Perform uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to assess subsurface risks and support reserve/resource evaluations.

• Exploration & Evaluation: Use geological, geophysical, and geochemical data to identify and assess new exploration prospects.

Required Experience: 

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Upstream Gas and LNG projects

• Proven international exposure in complex operating environments

• Experience in managing non-operated joint ventures (NOJVs)
