Job Title: HV/MV Electrical Engineer - Owner's Engineer
Location: On-site, Oman

Job Description:
Our client, is seeking an experienced HV/MV Electrical Engineer to join their team as an Owner's Engineer for a utility-scale wind project in Oman. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's electrical systems meet all required standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide on-site electrical engineering expertise throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the wind project
Review and monitor the installation of HV/MV electrical systems, including substations, transformers, and transmission lines
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes, grid connection standards, and project specifications
Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues
Witness and report on key electrical testing and commissioning activities
Prepare detailed technical reports and updates for the project team and client
Advise on best practices for electrical safety and quality control
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in HV/MV electrical engineering, preferably in renewable energy projects
In-depth knowledge of Omani electrical standards and grid connection requirements
Familiarity with wind farm electrical systems and components
Strong understanding of power systems, protection schemes, and control systems
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work on-site for extended periods
Previous experience as an Owner's Engineer or in a similar consultancy role
Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE) relevant to wind energy projects
Experience with SCADA systems and grid integration of renewable energy sources
