Position Summary:

Our client is seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Foundation Civil Engineer to join our team as an on-site Owner's Engineer for a large-scale wind energy project in Oman. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing the civil engineering aspects of wind turbine foundation construction, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local standards, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site supervision and technical support during the construction of wind turbine foundations

• Monitor and report on construction progress, quality, and adherence to project specifications

• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project execution

• Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks on foundation works

• Verify that all foundation construction activities comply with local Omani standards and regulations

• Prepare detailed technical reports and maintain accurate documentation of site activities

• Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with the project team and client

• Identify potential risks or challenges related to foundation construction and propose mitigation strategies

• Ensure that health, safety, and environmental standards are met throughout the construction process

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with at least 3 years specifically in wind turbine foundation construction

• In-depth knowledge of Omani construction standards and regulations

• Proven experience working on large-scale wind energy projects

• Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and foundation design concepts

• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office Suite)

• Willingness to work on-site for extended periods

• Knowledge of concrete mix design and quality control procedures

• Experience with foundation load testing and monitoring

• Experience working as an Owner's Engineer or in a similar supervisory role

• Familiarity with international wind energy standards (e.g., IEC, ISO)
