Control & Automation System Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Control & Automation System Engineer to support the integration of operational power assets with cloud-based IoT platforms. This role will be central to enabling real-time data visibility and predictive analytics by bridging the gap between existing control systems and new digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily operations across multiple utility-scale projects (Desalination, PV, Thermal)

• Integrate existing OT systems (SCADA, PLC) with cloud-based IoT infrastructure

• Coordinate data readiness with stakeholders, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and format compatibility

• Prepare and standardize engineering tag lists across multiple control systems

• Monitor and validate data quality across the IoT architecture

• Coordinate hardware/software materials required for integration and ensure delivery aligns with project timelines

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Control & Instrumentation, Automation, or a similar engineering field

• Strong working knowledge of SCADA and PLC systems

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA and Modbus

• Ability to interpret and work with P&IDs

• Basic understanding of instrumentation principles and field devices

• Exposure to Python programming is an advantage

• Strong communication and coordination skills to work cross-functionally with engineering and digital teams

• Ideally based in the UAE, though remote candidates will be considered
