WeConnect Energy at the ADIPEC Gala Dinner 2026

Richard Madden, CEO, and Claire Sheerin, Director of Operations, represented WeConnect Energy at the ADIPEC Gala Dinner 2026 at Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi, hosted by ADNOC.

ADIPEC brings the energy world to Abu Dhabi every November. Ministers, national and international oil companies, service companies and the people who keep the industry running. For a company built on relationships in the energy sector, there is no better week to be in the city.

Thank you to ADNOC

WeConnect Energy has worked with ADNOC for many years, and the invitation to the Gala Dinner reflects a long relationship and the trust that comes with it. Thank you to everyone at ADNOC involved in hosting such a memorable evening.

Why Abu Dhabi matters

WeConnect Energy has had a permanent office in Abu Dhabi for 18 years, the last 15 of them in Masdar City. We are a Scottish company with global reach, but the UAE has been at the heart of the business for most of its history. Our team lives in the market, and that is what lets us do the work we do.

The work we do

Executive search. We run retained leadership searches for energy clients across the Middle East and internationally, focused on C-suite, corporate and technical leadership rather than volume hiring. Our clients include ADNOC, Mubadala Energy and TAQA, and we support them as they build teams for a changing energy mix, from oil and gas through to CCUS, hydrogen and renewables.

Technical contracting. We provide specialist upstream engineering and operational experts under global agreements with companies including bp and Oxy, deployed regionally wherever they are needed. Contracting is a credible alternative to consultancy, giving clients proven people on the ground without the overhead.

Both parts of the business share the same idea. We only work in energy, and our mission is to connect the world's energy experts with the companies and projects that need them.

At ADIPEC this week

Richard and Claire are at ADIPEC until Thursday 5 November. If you are in Abu Dhabi and would like to talk about leadership hiring or technical workforce for your projects, get in touch and we will find time.
